Farewell To Arms - Stick To Nothing - Drums

Year 2007, Landsberg am Lech – FAREWELL TO ARMS was born. Melodic, uncompromising, technically ambitious, multi-purpose and taking much pleasure in experimentation – these are only a few catchwords which characterize this band.

With an ultimate ambition not to follow any trend and to define oneself is obvious: it isn’t a matter of a typical stereotype – metalband and you don’t get served what others showcase in this scene! FAREWELL TO ARMS features a distinctive musical style that combines a lot of different elements, such as Metal, Deathmetal, Thrashmetal, Progressive and Hardcore.

Immediately after the band’s foundation a lot of shows were played in the whole bavarian region. FAREWELL TO ARMS appeared on miscellaneous festivals and bandcontests and it is not without reason that the band entered the “Lechschall Festival” 3 years in a row – 2010 even as headliner. According to 23 months of permanent touring the time arrived for recording the first demo. Self-produced “Waiting Till The Sky Falls” (spring 2010) was created that contained 5 tracks of a very young bandhistory. After the demo’s release FAREWELL TO ARMS joined the stages again and all the positive reviews and press comments caused quite a stir.
Shows with a lot of well-known bands such as THE SORROW, NARZISS, CRUSHING CASPARS, PUNISHABLE ACT, BLOODWORK, GRANTIG and TENSIDE followed.

For the first EP, that includes 4 tracks, the guys from Landsberg could win CORNI BARTELS (Die Ärzte, Killerpilze, End Of Green, Hackneyed, etc.) over. Together they intensively worked on “Exhalation” to lay the foundation for their further way in the music business and to save their position in this music scene.

For “Exhalation” FAREWELL TO ARMS disciplinedly worked on their technical skills to be able to construct a much more attractive and multifaceted songwriting. And now, with the new EP, the band is ready again to join all the stages they can get.
